“If there is one single molecule in this universe running around loose, totally free of God’s sovereignty, then we have no guarantee that a single promise of God will ever be fulfilled.”

― R.C. Sproul, Chosen By God: Know God’s Perfect Plan for His Glory and His Children

One rogue molecule could undo all of God’s plans and purposes? God cannot accomplish anything if He grants free will to anyone or anything?

What R. C. Sproul is saying is that God must control everything if He is going to accomplish anything.

This is utter is nonsense.

We ourselves don’t control everything and yet we make future plans and bring them to pass all the time.

Ever promise your kids to bring them to an amusement park and then make it happen?

We also do things all the time, that involves the free will choices of others, without controlling their wills.

Every Seminary in the country promises classes to students without controlling the will’s of their Professors.

To say that God cannot accomplish anything without controlling everything is to say that God cannot do what mere men do all the time.

Calvinists make God less than a man.

It is a weak and impotent god who cannot grant free will to his creatures and still accomplish his purposes and plans.

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” Deuteronomy 30:19
